Azealia Banks is the latest rapper to appear to be siding with former President Donald Trump as she was seen attending one of his rallys this week.
On Tuesday, Trump held an election rally in Doral, Florida, and one of his guests happened to be Banks. The rapper was seen amongst the crowd in Trump's Instagram post highlighting the rally, and it wouldn't take long before clips of her at the event surfaced online.
Some of the footage taken at the event showed Banks being asked how she felt about what Trump was saying on the podium. She also took several pictures with other people at the rally, including music promoter Jake Inphamous. In her Instagram Stories, Banks reshared a post hinting that Trump invited her and a friend to the rally.
"@realdonaldtrump @azealiabanksforever Trump invited the gang," read the caption in her Stories.
The rapper's appearance at Trump's rally comes after Rolling Stone reported convicted Fyre Fest organizer Billy McFarland has been helping Trump's campaign secure co-signs from rap artists. According to the article, McFarland is the go-to person to connect Trump's team to rappers and he recently took credit for Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow popping up at the rally in The Bronx a few weeks ago.
Per sources cited in the article, McFarland is believed to have facilitated a meeting between Trump, Icewear Vezzo and Peezy. An unnamed "GOP operative" alleged there's a list of rap artists that Trump wants to show up at his events, but no one on the list has officially endorsed the former reality television star.
