Kevin Durant and iShowSpeed made an appearance on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast, which looks like it was recorded a few months ago and posted Tuesday, based on the subject matter covered within.
During KD and iShowSpeed's interview with Paul, the group covered J. Cole's decision to apologize to Kendrick Lamar for releasing his "7 Minute Drill" diss track.
"I thought he was standing on what he said and they had a little sparring session," 35-year-old Durant shared. "Which, I don't think it's anything bigger than just like, ‘I'm better rapper than you.’ Like, it's not nothing personal, I don't feel like. So I didn't think it needed to go that far."
Durant added, "Maybe it was a lot of noise around, you know, that little, I guess that beef. They all friends, they all know each other. So I'm sure it was a little weird but as a fan of the rap game, I didn't think it was too crazy with what was going on. I just thought it was just three great artists trying to state they claim as the best."
KD also shared his thoughts on what he felt Drake's then-unreleased response would be, as this was recorded prior to subsequent diss tracks. Durant pivoted back to Drizzy's beef with Pusha T, reminding Paul and his listeners that the Toronto rapper chose silence after "The Story of Adidon" dropped.
"He speaks his mind every time he drop music, and he drop music fucking two, three times a year sometimes," Durant said. "So it's like even if it's not a direct response and a diss record or anything like that, he gonna tell you how you feel, whatever you drop."
Durant linked with Drizzy for Canada Day, and again for Michael Rubin's Fourth of July All White Party last week.
Later in the podcast, KD trolled iShowSpeed for being a stan, especially when the streamer tried to give him advice on women. After telling iShowSpeed to get "off my dick" when the Twitch star told him he had several of KD's shoes in his closet, Durant also reminded 19-year-old Speed that he's a young pup when it comes to women.
"You 16, bro. You have no other resource but your hand," Durant said. "So please bro, don't put me in the same tier as you when it comes to that. You a youngster."
