Complex News hit the black carpet at Essence Magazine's 9th Annual Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon, and the black girl magic in the room was absolutely electric.
The event, held during Oscar's week each year, celebrates the accomplishments of black, powerhouse women in the entertainment industry. This year's honorees were "Black-ish" star Tracee Ellis Ross, entertainment lawyer Nina Shaw, and producer, director, choreographer, and actress Debbie Allen.
Attendees and presenters at the star-studded luncheon included Oprah Winfrey, Shonda Rhimes, Zendaya, Nick Cannon, and Chris Rock. Amber Riley, Issa Rae, Lena Waithe, and Yvette Nicole Brown stopped by on the carpet to speak their minds and share their incredibly positive energy.
