Olivia Munn and John Mulaney have officially tied the knot.
The 44-year-old actress and the Saturday Night Live alum, 41–who share 2-year-old son Malcolm Hiệp—got married over the weekend, People reports.
A source told the magazine that the couple’s “simple” and “intimate” wedding ceremony was held at a friend’s residence in New York state.
According to Today, 83-year-old Law & Order and Grace and Frankie alum Sam Waterston, 83, who was Munn’s co-star on The Newsroom, officiated the wedding. TMZ reports that Waterston’s wife, Lynn Louisa Woodruff, was the ceremony’s witness.
Munn and Mulaney’s son Malcolm was reportedly the only other person at the wedding.
Despite having known each other for nearly a decade, the couple first became romantically involved in 2021 shortly after Mulaney split with his wife of six years, Anna Marie Tendler, 39, according to People. In September 2021, Mulaney confirmed that Munn was pregnant with the couple’s first child, who was born two months later.
The couple’s marriage comes nearly four months after Munn revealed that she’s had four surgeries since being diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine mammogram.
“In the past ten months I have had four surgeries, so many days spent in bed I can’t even count and have learned more about cancer, cancer treatment and hormones than I ever could have imagined,” Munn recounted on an Instagram post shared in March. “Surprisingly, I’ve only cried twice. I guess I haven’t felt like there was time to cry. My focus narrowed and I tabled any emotions that I felt would interfere with my ability to stay clear-headed.”
In May, Munn confirmed to Vogue that she had an additional surgery to treat the cancer, bringing the tally up to five.
“I have now had an oophorectomy and hysterectomy. I took out my uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries,” she told the magazine. “It was a big decision to make, but it was the best decision for me because I needed to be present for my family. I had friends try to cheer me up by saying, ‘Malcolm’s not going to remember this. Don't worry.’”
She continued, “But I just kept thinking to myself, ‘I'm going to remember this, that I missed all these things.’ It's his childhood, but it's my motherhood, and I don't want to miss any of these parts if I don't have to.”
