Ye has just let Rich The Kid know that he is retiring from making music and his only explanation is he doesn't know what else to do with his career.
On Tuesday, Rich shared a post on his Instagram Stories of a conversation between himself and Ye through text. In the text exchange, the Chicago rap legend told his "Carnival" collaborator he's done with music but Rich wouldn't let him without putting up a fight.
"I am retiring from professional music Not sure what else to do," Ye wrote. In response, Rich said, "Retire? Why? How? The ppl NEED you the music you & Ty & we have made was the BIGGEST STAMP in culture to this date in 2024. Drop Ye about mine & V@ and we do it all over again the kids need you big bra fasho maybe some time to chill but retiring ain't it."
It seems like Ye is either having fun with fans or has begun somewhat of a retirement tour, as Rich shared a tweet that he's dropping his new album, which Ye is featured on. Rich shared the tracklist showing Ye leading the charge for guest features from Rob49, French Montana, Chief Keef, BIA, and more.

Former G.O.O.D. Music signee Consequence also plugged that he's dropping a new single with Ye titled "No Apologies," which is dropping on Friday. "All I can say is…What a RUN Literally one of the greatest success stories in History This makes this Friday even more SPECIAL CONS x YE FOR THE LAST TIME 'Yeah We Did What Did To Get Paid' No Apologies feat YE 07.12.24," he wrote.
Ye's announcement also comes on the impending release of his next album with Ty Dolla $ign, Vultures 2. The project was expected to drop several times throughout the year but was delayed for undisclosed reasons. In May, Ty said the project could come "any day now."
"Vultures 2 is on the way, man. It's coming soon. Any day now. It can be tomorrow," he said in a video clip.
