NBA All-Star Weekend touched down on Indianapolis, Indiana last week.
From major moments on the court to adidas Basketball marking its history and future off it at their own exclusive hub, the weekend was a basketball fan’s dream.
First up, adidas Basketball introduced an innovative new line of products that celebrated the spirit of the brand while also eyeing the next generation. Products that got heads turning over the weekend include previews of the AE 1, Exhibit Select Pro, Harden Vol. 8, and Mad IIInfinity. Fans got to see unreleased products and unexpected exclusives from the archives.
As much as it was about disrupting the status quo, the latest pieces from adidas Basketball were also a testament to their commitment to supporting their athletes and ensuring they perform at their highest level, at every step of their careers. For adidas Basketball, with its longstanding ties to the sport, they say the future of basketball is bright.
The adidas Hub was home to decades of basketball history. On the installation’s hardwood floors, they displayed adidas sneakers through the years, and honoured athletes past and present along the walls.
Adidas paid homage to their classic Superstar and its evolution over time in sport and entertainment. The sneaker sat next to other legendary designs for Kobe Bryant and Derrick Rose.
Canadians were representing adidas all weekend, including Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin in the Skills Challenge and at the All-Star Weekend Youth Camp directed by his sister Jennifer, as well as WNBA star Natalie Achonwa. Lilly Singh held it down for Scarborough during the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game.
Elsewhere throughout NBA All-Star Weekend, adidas Basketball supported an Overtime Elite showcase starring young players on the path to becoming professional athletes. For adidas, they support the pros and amateurs with the same passion and precision.
Complex Canada also got to shoot some hoops at the adidas activation with Foot Locker and play a little NBA 2K at the adidas hub.
